Intimate embraces, laughter, the spontaneity of the moment, and the merriment that go along with a wedding celebration inspire me. I am a photographer who focuses on natural connection, magical in-between moments and putting you right at ease so you can be your truest self.
Hi, I’m Peyton —
After graduating from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas I decided to establish my own business and Voilà! 1778photographie was created! 1778photographie is composed out of love for creating photographs that capture your natural beauty and illustrates joie de vivre. The name 1778photographie is inspired by my love of French history — the 18th century being my particular favorite to read about.
With over a decade of experience, it brings me so much joy to honor your vision and reflect your aesthetic as I document this beautiful season and your wedding celebration. It is with a photojournalistic philosophy and an editorial perspective, I adore intertwining candid storytelling, unscripted moments, and refined elegance to create a visual narrative that is uniquely yours.
I delight in art history, loud laughter, pine trees, mountain air, starry skies, love notes, romance novels, cats, wind-swept hair, 35mm film, Polaroids, and all things French décor. Oh! And strawberry cake — how could I almost forget that!
This beautiful work is a gift I don’t take for granted. Through 1778photographie, I donate a portion of profits to animal charities each year, and when I'm not photographing love stories, you'll find me at the local humane society, offering time and tenderness to the animals who ask for so little and give so much.
Based in the heart of Wimberley, Texas (just beyond Austin) and the beautiful mountain town of Durango, Colorado.
It has been an honor to see my work featured in publications such as Rocky Mountain Bride, Magnolia Rouge, Brides of Austin, The Knot, Brides Magazine, Austin Monthly, and Rock n Roll Bride Magazine.

Documenting the celebration of your love through digital, 35mm, and instant film photography.
